The Montgomery Bar Foundation
Financial Support for the County's Humanitarian Efforts
The Montgomery Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Montgomery Bar Association, grants funds to assist law-related educational, charitable and humanitarian projects throughout Montgomery County. Foundation grants have been used by recipient projects to serve:
- The elderly
- The homeless
- Victims of domestic violence
- Individuals involved in legal matters who need the assistance of translators
- Troubled and underprivileged youth
- Other individuals and families in need
The Montgomery Bar Association established the Foundation in 1986 with the help of the family of the late Montgomery County Judge Milton O. Moss. Since then, the Foundation has honored Moss by presenting the Honorable Milton O. Moss Public Service Award annually to an individual or organization that furthers justice and humanitarianism through its work.

Montgomery Bar Foundation announces call for Grant Proposals
Montgomery Bar Foundation is now accepting proposals for grants of up to $2,500 to be awarded on or before June 30, 2011. The Bar Foundation will consider proposals from organizations that are involved in law-related educational and charitable initiatives. You can obtain the Grant Making Policy and Guidelines and a Grant Application on the Grants Section of this website (www.montgomerybarfoundation.org) or by calling (610) 994-3667. Important Deadline Information: Proposals must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011 to be considered.

Montgomery Bar Foundation Launches New Fellowship Program
The Montgomery Child Advocacy Project (MCAP)
This is a newly formed 501(c)(3) organization established to protect the rights to those least able to protect themselves .....children. MCAP arranges for the appointment of volunteer attorneys who render free legal services to young victims of abuse and neglect. MCAP hopes to broaden its scope and give children the support and therapeutic services needed, which are not provided by their parents, who are often the source of the abuse.
